Field Service Manager

This role entails overseeing a team of field-based service engineers responsible for the South-West of England. The job involves working both in the field and at home, as required. The company offers support to customers nationwide, servicing and maintaining a variety of coffee machines to exceptionally high standards. They aim to bring a seasoned coffee engineer on board to contribute to team development and leadership in the region.
Responsibilities of the Engineering Service Manager:
- Overseeing the field engineering team, developing them and providing them with support
- Identify and manage KPIs of the field engineering team
- Working closely with the service coordinator team for allocated work
- Ensure the engineering team is well trained and identifying areas for improvement
- Be responsible for project management, financial management and approvals
- Carrying out appraisals, creating career development plans, and carrying out disciplinaries as required
- Motivating the team to represent the business to a high standard
Required experience of the Engineering Service Manager:
- Direct engineering experience on multiple brands of coffee machines
- Previous management experience, or team leader experience
- Very strong communication skills and rapport building skills
- The ability to continue to learn, and develop personally
